Kolber, a native of Pennsylvania earned a doctoral degree from the University of Miami. Kolber's first job was in New York City as a CBS Sports video coordinator. While working for WTVJ-TV Miami, she won a Sports Emmy. She also worked at WPLG-TV Miami as well as WPEC-TV West Palm Beach in Florida. She was chosen as an anchor for ESPN2 at the time that it first launched. After working for ESPN2 over the next three years Fox Sports hired her. In 1999 she returned to ESPN where she is the host of "Monday night Countdown'.
